For Tomorrow and Beyond!

India, the world’s second most populous country is poised to become one of the most productive nations of the world. As a developing country, India boasts a large pool of young workers. While developed nations will be burdened with an ageing population, a young and productive Indian workforce will catapult the nation, making it one of the world’s best economies.

However, this can be achieved only if the work force is channelized in the right direction. Employment opportunities are available for youth who are educated and privileged, but a considerable amount of Indian youth are not provided with the skills required for employment.

We at Yuva Parivartan are trying to eradicate this problem by imparting training to the youth and equipping them with a means to earn their livelihood. 50% of India’s population is under 25 years of age and statistics reveal that the school dropout rate is 80%. With several life-altering stories to its credit, Yuva Parivartan has camps for training youth in different villages across the country. The training programs are designed keeping in mind the regional variations and demands. These programs are aimed at giving direction to the thousands of young people in villages so that they can earn a livelihood.

The trainers lay maximum emphasis on practical training, which gives the rural youth practice and confidence to use their acquired skills. This approach also keeps them interested in the training which usually lasts for 70 hours spread over ten days.

We have also been successful in providing employment opportunities for the students trained in the camps with the help of the local rural Employment Officers and tie-ups with companies.

Students in quest of better opportunities are encouraged to undergo further training and polish their skills at our existing centers.

India’s manpower resource is just waiting to be tapped to its full potential. If you wish to contribute in building a better tomorrow, visit our website http://www.yuvaparivartan.org
